Dog Central – Refund, Cancellation & Attendance Policy

At Dog Central, we run a structured daycare service. We take great care to match dogs appropriately, maintain balanced groups, and ensure each dog has a safe and fulfilling day. Because of this, we are unable to fill spaces at short notice if a dog is absent. The following policies help us manage staffing, group dynamics, and availability fairly for all clients.

Payment Policy

  • All daycare bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Cancellations & Attendance

If your dog is unable to attend daycare for any reason (including holidays, illness, or other circumstances), the following applies:

Casual Bookings

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice:

    • 100% of the daily service fee will be charged (non-refundable).

Permanent Recurring Bookings

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice:

    • 100% of the daily service fee will be charged (non-refundable).

  • More than 48 hours’ notice:

    • A $20 holding fee will apply to retain your dog’s placement.

Weekly Package Clients

  • Clients on regular weekly daycare packages are allowed:

    • 1 cancellation per calendar month without penalty, provided reasonable notice is given.

  • Any additional cancellations, or cancellations made within the notice periods above:

    • will be charged in full and are non-refundable.

Changes to Permanent Bookings

  • 14 days’ notice is required for:

    • Cancelling a permanent placement

    • Reducing or changing a regular daycare day

  • If sufficient notice is not given, the standard cancellation fees above will apply.

Holding & Attendance

  • If your dog cannot attend their regular weekly booking:

    • Their placement can be held for a maximum of 4 weeks, or at management’s discretion.

  • After this period, the placement may be terminated.

Emergency Situations

  • Emergency cancellations may be considered on a case-by-case basis at management’s discretion.

Important Notes

  • No-shows are non-refundable and charged in full.

  • By booking with Dog Central, you agree to this policy.

  • Dog Central reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
